These terms cover your use of theaiguyfromli.com and the free tools on it. Using the site means you accept them. Paid work is governed by a separate written agreement, and where that agreement and these terms disagree, that agreement wins.

Throughout these terms, "we" and "us" mean The AI Guy from Long Island. "You" means the person or business using the site.
What we offer

The $999 assessment is our only fixed published price. Everything else is quoted for the specific work. Any figure you see quoted elsewhere for our services did not come from us.
Using the free website audit
The audit is provided as a free, automated tool. By using it you confirm that:
- You are auditing a website you own or are authorised to analyse, or one that is publicly accessible and that you have a legitimate reason to review
- You will not use the tool to attack, overload, or probe a site for vulnerabilities
- You will not run it in bulk through scripts or automation
What the audit is, and is not. It is an automated scan of a single page's publicly available code. It reports what automated checks can see. It cannot see anything behind a login, and it does not review your site by hand.
The accessibility check runs automated tests only. Automated testing cannot determine overall ADA compliance, and nothing in the audit is a statement that your site is or is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, or any other standard. Determining that requires manual review and, where the stakes warrant it, legal advice.
Similarly, a score is a score against our own framework. It is not a Google ranking, not a prediction of revenue, and not a guarantee of any result.
No guarantee of results
We do not promise specific rankings, traffic, leads, revenue, or placement in AI assistant answers. Search engines and AI systems are controlled by third parties who change how they work without notice. Anyone in this industry promising you a guaranteed ranking is not being straight with you. What we commit to is doing the work described in your agreement, competently and on time.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information. Our recommendations are only as good as what you tell us
- Hold the rights to any content, images, logins, or materials you give us to use
- Keep your own backups of your website and data
- Make your own decisions about acting on our recommendations
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Fees for the AI Business Assessment are due before the work begins unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Custom engagements follow the payment schedule in that engagement's agreement. If you are not satisfied with an assessment, contact us and we will work it out with you directly.
Ownership
The content of this site, including our written material, the AI Visibility Framework, the audit tool and its scoring methodology, and our designs and code, belongs to us. You may read it, share links to it, and quote it with attribution. You may not copy it wholesale, resell it, or present it as your own.
Deliverables we produce specifically for you under a paid engagement become yours once that engagement is paid in full, except for our underlying methods, frameworks, and reusable components, which remain ours.
Links to other sites
Where we link to another website or service, we do not control it and are not responsible for its content, its terms, or how it handles your information.
Limitation of liability
The site and the free tools are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of this site or our free tools. Where we are found liable in connection with a paid engagement, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that engagement. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York. Before anyone files anything, we would rather you email us and let us try to fix it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
